Professor of Energy Systems
The College of Engineering (www.coe.neu.edu) at Northeastern University in Boston invites applications for a faculty appointment in Energy Systems at the tenured rank of associate or full professor. The responsibilities of this position include research and teaching in the area of energy generation, conversion, systems and technologies with the long-term goal of a fundamental transformation of the existing infrastructure for energy generation, transmission and distribution into a highly stable, highly efficient and extremely secure system, integrating a large share of renewable energy sources and storage capabilities. The appointment can be with any department in the College, including a possible joint appointment.
Candidates must hold a PhD degree and should have established an internationally recognized research record in the area. Furthermore, they should present evidence of their leadership in a research team and of their ability to successfully collaborate with other faculty members as well as with industry. Candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and be prepared to teach and develop engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as supervise graduate students.
